The three count method this is an oldie but goodie when you are having an anxiety attack. breathe in for a count of three and hold, then exhale out for a count of three and hold again. You can repeat this process for as many times as you need until you feel you have your attack under control. Also by holding your breath for account of 5 to 10 seconds shows you that you are in control and not your attack. This can also help boost your self confidence when you are having an attack. Many people think this method does not work very well, because the problem usually starts with breathing problems. This is for a light attack. The paper bag method this is another method that is somewhat useful in a certain situation such as if you are driving in a car or playing a sport breathing in and out of a paper bag can help slow your breathing till you feel you have your attack under control.
